Why we built TripUp
Kolhapur has so much to offer, from the Mahalaxmi (Ambabai) Temple and Panhala Fort to Rankala Lake and the New Palace. Yet many of the local businesses that visitors depend on, such as family-run lodges, cab operators and shops selling Kolhapuri chappals and jaggery, are hard to find online.
Visitors end up asking around, calling numbers that no longer work, or going with whoever reaches them first. Good local businesses, meanwhile, miss out on customers who were looking for exactly what they offer. We built TripUp to be one simple, honest place to look.

Simple for visitors
There is nothing to sign up for and no login. Open a listing and tap to call, send a WhatsApp message or get directions on Google Maps. You deal directly with the business, and TripUp does not charge you a booking fee.
How listings work
Businesses can add themselves to TripUp for free, and our team checks each new listing before it goes live.
To make the directory useful from day one, we also created some listings from publicly available business information, such as Google Maps. These are clearly marked "unclaimed", which means the owner has not yet confirmed the details, so please check timings and prices with the business before you set out.
If a listing is about your business, you can use the buttons on it to claim it, correct it or ask us to remove it. A real person on our team reviews every request and gets back to you.
We also want you to know what you are looking at. Listings marked "Featured" appear higher up, but Featured is a placement, not a review. The ratings you see come from public sources such as Google Maps, not from us.
For business owners
If you run a hotel or lodge, a travel or cab service, a parking space, a souvenir shop or a gym in Kolhapur, you can list it on TripUp for free.
